Product description
Description:
- Magnesium oxide (MgO) has been used dating back thousands of years
- It has been found that magnesium oxide was used in the Great Wall of China as a cement form
- China has the world largest deposits of magnesium oxide, which is sufficient to resupply the world with cement fibre, gypsum and wood partitioning and ceilings every year for the next 800 years
- Magnesium oxide boards (MgO Boards) is a factory-made, non-insulating sheathing board product
- It can be used for a number of applications including wall and ceiling linings, fascias, soffits, tile backing and underlayments
- It is made primarily of magnesium oxide, and is commonly called (MgO) due to its chemical composition of magnesium and oxide
- MgO board is a type of sheathing board-sort of like gypsum board or cement fibre board’s – however with several improved characteristics such as fire resistance, weather ability, strength, resistance to mould and mildew, flexibility, adherence advantages and so on
Advantages:
- Better fireproof and water resistance
- MgO board is flexible and elastic, but gypsum board is rigid
- MgO board has stronger strength
- MgO board will not deform or swelling after soak in water for more than 30days
- MgO board is eco-friendly, but gypsum board may have a hazard to human's health( generally use desulfurization gypsum)
Features:
- Fireproof and water-resistant
- Lightweight and high intensity
- Sound and heat insulation
- Heat preservation Impact resistance
- Cold resistance
- Flexibility
- Moth-resistant and anti-mildew
- Eco-friendly
- Easy to construct and maintain
Usages:
- MgO is widely used primarily as wallboard alternative to conventional gypsum-based drywall
- The MgO boards can be scored and snapped, sawed, drilled, and fastened to wood or steel framing
- It can be used for interior or exterior applications
- MgO boards are a good example of the advances made in construction materials to meet changes in building codes for safety and durability
Applications:
- Interior wall and ceiling board
- Exterior sheathing
- Trim materials
- Fascias
- Soffits (underside of any construction element)
- Shaft-liner & area separation wall board
- Tile backing (backer board) and underlayment
- Substrates for coatings and insulated systems such as: direct-applied finish systems, EIFS, SIPS, Portland type stucco and synthetic stuccos
Package: In wooden pallet or in bulk
