[Purpose]
(1) Silicon-barium inoculation block applies to gray cost iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron, can promoye the formation of a-shaped graphite and the completion of graphite nodules;
(2) Nucleation in a wide range of temperatures, high nodulizing and anti-aging capabillties, effectively preventing the opening tendency of castings;
(3) More thorough deoxidization effect than other alloy deoxidizers, at the amount of 35%-50% of 75# ferrosilicon only;
(4)When used for deoxidization in steel making, silicon-barium alloy features high utilization rate and excellent desulfurization capability;
(5) When silicon-barium alloy is added, the nature and distribution of nonmetallic impurities in steel will be altered substantially;
(6) A proper amount of silicon-barium alloy in steer can increase the plasticity and tenacity of steel at high and low temperatures;
(7) Silicon-barium-iron alloy works best in improving the cold resistance of steel.
